Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. • Performs technical video and audio recording for multimedia projects in support of department training and outreach and education projects. • Scrubs through raw footage and audio to indicate or fix errors. • Assists in the creation of graphic assets for videos. • Ensures file structure continuity. • Completes video finishing work including ensuring it is in the right codec and adding final touches such as sound leveling, music, and title screens, if necessary. • Transforms written scripts or storyboards into a cohesive assembly edit for initial review. • Researches new methodologies in tax outreach and development to make recommendations on new software and/or outreach resources. • Assists with the creation of web-based and video-based materials which may include the creation of visual, marketing or motion graphics and other media to be used. This also includes using software to record and edit video and/or audio files. • Assists in the administration of the commonwealth’s Learning Management System (LMS) which includes monitoring completion of agency-specific training; running training record and course completion reports; entering instructor-led course dates into the system; and entering course completions into the system. • Assists with the creation of web-based training content housed in the LMS and makes recommendations as needed to enhance courses. • Makes recommendations for future projects including but not limited to videos, LMS training courses, FastFacts, FAQs, etc. • Participates in group and individual projects at the request of the Executive Office, bureau director, division chief, and/or the supervisor. • Tracks customer views on all videos and reviews customer feedback on already produced videos to make enhancements or additional videos, as needed. • Directly responds to taxpayers, their representatives, and tax practitioner’s inquiries via telephone and e-mail. Proposes additional video content or enhancements to existing videos based on customer inquiries. • Reviews, analyzes, and develops content on program policies and operating procedures. Makes recommendations for policy or procedure changes as needed. • Demonstrates a commitment to the service-oriented culture of the Department. • Applies Lean thinking in day-to-day tasks. • Be mindful of internal controls and risk management when changes are made to a process. • Treats others equitably and adheres to diversity and inclusion program requirements in the workplace. • Performs other related duties as required. |

Example: In response to a customer inquiry, this work involves researching the status of an activity and preparing a formal response for the supervisor’s signature. • Responsible for the creation of multi-media content and using best practices and independent judgment on visual representation of projects. • Makes recommendations to chain of command for improvements to multi-media content, tax-technical, and agency-specific programs, and policy and/or procedure changes. • Reviews information received from both internal and external sources concerning system and communication enhancements; makes recommendations to management and executes the final approved recommendations. • Reviews unique/unusual questions received from both internal and external sources to determine the proper course of action. • Recommends improvements to workflow and helps execute approved changes. |
