Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. This position is responsible for conducting audits and accounting for inventory stored in an agency Distribution Center (DC), as well as reviewing all inventory control processes and practices. The goal of this position is to ensure that physical inventory stored in a DC matches reported on-hand levels. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Conducts and reviews audits and cycle counts for all inventory stored in an agency (DC). Prepares reports and findings of fact as a result of audits and cycle counts. Reviews all exception reports and investigates any discrepancies. Reviews and analyzes damage reports and investigates discrepancies. Develops reports on all unaccountable discrepancies or damages and details any associated or mitigating factors. Reviews and analyzes any adjustments and reconciles outstanding inventory issues. Reviews and investigates inventory selection and pulling processes and reports on any discrepancies, inefficiencies or potential risks of inventory loss. Works with 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) providers in reviewing inventory accuracy levels and related processes to increase accuracy levels. Reviews and monitors all inventory related processes and ensures compliance from 3PLs. Identifies and reports on slow moving inventory or inventory that may be about to expire. Reviews physical surroundings, perimeter security, lines of sight and other physical attributes that may lead to inventory loss and reports findings and makes recommendations to mitigate compromising situations. Prepares various reports detailing inventory accuracy on a periodic basis and analyses results in consultation with the respective chain of command. Performs other related duties as required. |
