Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

Under the direction and technical guidance of the Data Entry Examining Supervisor, the employee is responsible for examining and data entering into our computer system vehicle title, and/or registration applications using a personal computer. The process requires that the employee verify the correctness of name and address, WID number, insurance, plate and tag information, signatures, liens, notarization, tax liability, authenticity of documents, and other elements that ensure accuracy. The operator must determine that the required information fees and documents have been properly attached with the correct forms.


Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

Utilize a personal computer to data enter required information from bureau forms to programmed designed formatted screens to ensure proper issuance of certificates of title, registration plates, cards, stickers, decals, and sales tax receipts.

Examine and determine that required information on bureau forms have been received to ensure proper issuance of certificates of title, registration plates, cards, stickers, decals, and sales tax receipts or rejects applications because of discrepancies.

Processing in MVDLS

Produce 21 or more applications per hour with a 2% or less error rate.

Pick up unprocessed work from transporter bins and return to work-station to process the work. Maintain a suitable desk organization to ensure a smooth transition of work. It is recommended that the desk organization permit the unfinished work to be secured in the transporter box or on a shelf to enable efficient supervisor access in the event of absence. Return work to proper transporter box upon completion.

Utilize examining standard procedures and reference materials, such as the CARATS Procedures, the Pennsylvania Zip Code Directory, the Polk's World Bank Directory, the National Zip Code Directory, etc.

Work overtime when required.

Comply with the SA Customer Service Policy.

13. The workday is divided approximately by, 60% of the day is examining, and 40% is data entry.
14. This job may also require other activities commonly found in a data entry environment.
15. Attend required safety training and adhere to the requirements of all safety manuals, policies, and laws.

16. Immediately report to your supervisor any incident, unsafe practice, or near miss.

17. When in an enclosed environment (office buildings, confined spaces, flagger stations, equipment pinch points, etc.), know your evacuation process and escape route, your communication protocols, and appropriately react in the event of an incident

18. Responsible for ensuring that the correct fee waiver code is used and properly documented whenever a fee waiver is necessary to process a customer transaction. Complies with all aspects of the Fee Waiver Guidelines.
