Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

This position is assigned to support Constables' Education & Training Board and provide for the operation of constables’ training programs of the Board and the PCCD’s Bureau of Training Services.

Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

Write, prepare, organize, and disseminate meeting packets, reports, bulletins, newsletters, meeting minutes, and correspondence for the Board, the PCCD, and agency clientele.
Make arrangements for Board and other Division meetings including coordination with the Fiscal Administration Division for contracts and billing.
Participate in the development and preparation of training curricula and associated support materials for the PCCD’s training programs for constables.
Organize, distribute, and archive training materials.
Review, selection and utilization of methodologies for the assessment of training needs, such as questionnaires, interviews, job standard/description review, job task analysis, and advisory group reviews.
Reviews, makes recommendations to, and edits contractor-developed curricula and support materials for the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) to ensure they are accurate, relevant, and align with the needs of the agency’s criminal justice training and certification programs.
Develop work statements and applicable documents in securing purchase orders through the "Master Agreement" process for the development and delivery of training. Review and approve invoices related to the purchase orders.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of training contractors and their personnel through interviews, evaluation instruments and direct observation.
Prepare reports describing the results of monitoring and evaluation activities and recommend to the Program Manager appropriate actions to ensure the quality of training.
Process and review initial instructor applications for compliance with established standards and prepare recommendations for certification of instructors.
Maintain hard copy and computer-based training record systems, including some data entry and periodically review of the design and organization of training records and reports, and prepare recommendations for record system improvements.
Conduct research necessary to support correspondence, documents and reports. Prepare and produce correspondence, bulletins, reports, web page content, and other documents.
Respond to calls and correspondence requesting information on the training programs of the Board.
Assist in the support of other PCCD programs as necessary.

Duties are performed under the supervision of the Constables' Training Supervisor who assigns work and reviews work products.
