Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

This position serves as a contact person and trouble-shooter for any questions or problems relating to the Pennsylvania Automated License System (PALS).

Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

Answer telephones to assist and provide information to the public, issuing agents, county treasurers and field personnel with questions regarding license sales, account activities, financial reporting through PALS regarding day to day issues that may arise, season and bag limits, hunting laws and regulations, and other related subjects.

Work to identify and resolve questions arising from issuing agents concerning their weekly EFT/ACH or other accounting procedures.

Create and update customer records in PALS administrative console.

File landowner affidavits and other information relating to county treasurer's operations in their appropriate file.

Account for voided PALS licenses returned by commercial agents and post these credits accordingly. Complete documentation in customer's profile.

Works with commercial issuing agents, county treasurers and the public on issues involving licenses, statistics, regulations and on-line sales.

Review and verify the accuracy of printed licenses, stamps and permits issued through PALS during our testing phase of the system before the start of a new license year and after upgrades or deployments.

Prepare deposits and deposit slips as necessary. Reconcile financial reports.

Assist with preparing statistical and informational reports for agency staff as needed.

Assist in opening and distributing daily mail.

Proofread reports, memo, letters and the Instruction Manual for issuing agents. Suggest updates and/or edits.

Assists with entering, verifying, and updating harvest reports through PALS.

Assists with entering surveys through the game commission dashboard.

Perform other related duties as required.

Work is assigned and reviewed by the Supervisor and the Chief of the License Division. Assignments are made orally and through written communication.
