Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. This position provides highly advanced work in support of the Office of Monitoring and Accountability’s (OMA) Integrated Monitoring System (IMS), a highly complex departmental IT system, design and effective and efficient operation meeting all agency, cross-agency, and USED needs and requirements. This position will be the IMS business process and IT system functionality expert leading system development and enhancements ensuring quality through design, documentation, testing, and user training. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Leads requirement gathering and system design sessions for the Integrated Monitoring System. Ensures information from requirement gathering is transferred to system design. Reviews system requirement and system design documents to ensure consistency and completeness with information identified in system gathering and design sessions. Serves as the Project Manager for the Integrated Monitoring System. Works with subject matter experts to identify new system requirements and/or enhancements. Leads development and documenting of business processes. Recommends business process improvements and system enhancements. Develops testing scenarios and scripts in collaboration with subject matter experts. Leads testing and communicating results to IT vendors. Leads development and delivery of training on IT related topics and training materials as applicable. Maintains change request log. Directs troubleshooting system, data, or process problems. Reviews reports from vendor to ensure charges match deliverables. Identifies, monitors and tracks IT related issues. Coordinates agenda using change request log, project timelines, etc. for vendor meetings. Serves as a backup and mentors staff for resource account monitoring. Serves as a backup and mentors staff for Help Desk monitoring. Leads IT related audit inquiries. Performs related work as required. Provides system user support when necessary. Travels, as necessary. |
