Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

This position performs financial and inventory work for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) in the Office of Asset Protection. This position is responsible for providing oversight, direction, and accountability to the inventory control process at the Fine Wine and Good Spirit stores, Licensee Centers and E-commerce locations. This position will work with Finance and Operations to ensure team adherence to PLCB physical inventory policies and cycle count procedures, accurate counts of inventory and identification and documenting of discrepancies.

This position will also assist in the implementation of the new system implementations. Responsibilities include performing data migration activities, performing assessments on the impact of business processes, and performing testing of the applications.

Description of Duties:

Assists in development of physical inventory and cycle count processes and procedures for all inventory received into the agency’s Retail locations.

Analyzes, develops, and implements new auditing processes to make sure they are current, adequate, functional, and utilized in accordance with standards.

Coordinates with third party contractors to ensure physical inventories conducted at Retail stores are conducted as scheduled, ensuring completeness and accuracy of the count.
Monitors and reviews variance reports for all inventory items and transactions at assigned retail locations.

Attends, assists, and monitors retail stores with completion of physical inventories and cycle counts.

Attends, assists, and monitors Distribution Centers with completion of physical inventories and cycle counts.

Performs on-site spot checks to ensure accuracy of counts and ensure results/adjustments are correctly posted to the financials.

Attends, monitors, and manages the follow-up on store opening and closing inventories. Creates inbound and outbound reports and reconciles any variances.

Monitors and reviews inventory transfers between retail locations and reconciles reports as necessary.

Analyzes and determines trends with inventory variances. Creates Trend and Variance Analyses for management review.

Ensures inventory count procedures are communicated and followed by the stores.

Conducts follow-up with stores to ensure preparation instructions are carried out correctly.

Analyzes and monitors retail inventory related processes and assures compliance. Makes recommendations to any changes that would improve efficiency and assists with any process, procedural, or reporting changes.

Monitors slow moving, stale or potentially spoiled inventory and notify store management and discuss options for reducing or disposing of inventory.

Develops inventory reports and to analyze variances amongst stores.

Assists in the improvement of Internal Controls related to Retail inventory.

Performs other related duties as required.
