Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. 1.Financial Planning and Fund Management Prepares short and long-range fiscal and program scenarios for regular appropriations and special funding sources. Key Products: • Multi-year Financial Statements • Funding Scenarios • Agency Budget Instructions • Legislative Analysis 2. Budget Preparation Reviews budget requests and prepares options and recommendations. Key Products: • Proposed Program Initiatives • Issues Tracking Sheets • Secretary’s Decision-Making Package • Agency Budget Request 3. Budget Justification: Provides supplemental data and justification from submission of budget to enactment of appropriations. Key Products: • Governor’s Meeting document • Legislative Hearing Package • Secretary’s Program and Budget Briefing Book • Legislative Committee Budget Overview Document 4. Budget Implementation: Oversees the allocation and monitoring of approved budget amounts from rebudget to year-end closing. Key Products: • Agency Rebudget Request • Allocation and Allotment Approvals • Mid-year Appropriation Review • Year-end Closing Appropriation Review |
