Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. 1. This position is professional work in reviewing and administering the fiscal portion of the Migrant Education Program (MEP) with particular emphasis on budgetary regulations guidelines and accounting practices in accordance with Federal and State guidelines regulating grants. 2. This position is the lead fiscal officer that oversees all grants and provides monthly status reports to the Division Chief. 3. Develop funding formulas and a plan for the distribution of funds to the LEAs and submit to the Division Chief for approval. 4. Provide technical assistance and coordinate the completion of the state and federal migrant grant applications, requesting additional information, if necessary, and review for accuracy of grant application. 5. Administer the fiscal portion of the state migrant grants and the Dollar-A-Day program. 6. Prepare and process all fiscal transactions that are necessary for accurate grant procedures such as budget revisions, chargebacks, allocations, expenditure adjustments, etc. 7. R |
