Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. The employee in this position functions as a clerical assistant within the Bureau of Child Support Enforcement (BCSE), Office of Income Maintenance (OIM). The employee is responsible for providing clerical support for the Division of Central Operations (DCO) to ensure child support actions are processed within federal time limits. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. The employee is responsible for • Scans and emails assignments to designated child support enforcement specialists (CSES) according to established protocols. • Performs data entry of assignments into a centralized tracking system on Microsoft Access to ensure the review process by DCO supervisors and managers is timely to meet assigned due dates. • Reviews and assigns Requests for Assistance from Domestic Relations Sections and other state Child Support Programs. • Reviews and assigns Paternity Exception R607 requests. • Enters petitions in the database and scans them for distribution to the CSESs. • Reviews and circulates mail to the CSESs on a rotating basis. • Manages multiple email resource accounts. • Maintains confidentiality as some data contains sensitive and confidential information. • Maintains a working knowledge of office equipment and computer programs. • Performs other related duties and tasks as assigned. |

The employee is required to perform duties with considerable independence and little review, although, changes in operational standards, procedures and work policies are discussed in detail with the Division Director and/or Bureau Secretary prior to implementation. • Work involves a high level of independent judgement and organizational skills. • Makes independent decisions regarding work processes, appropriateness of information to be processed and take necessary actions needed. • Notifies the Bureau Secretary of problem areas. |
