Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

This position serves as an analyst performing talent acquisition functions in the Exam Development Section of the Posting Development Division. Responsibilities include creating supplemental posting questions, reopening or modifying experience and training (E&T) examinations, and entering exam related information and supplemental questions into NEOGOV postings.

Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

1. Reviews documentation such as requisitions, job posting forms, and position descriptions associated with vacancy-based job posting requests submitted through NeoGov. Conducts validity checks by comparing position descriptions to requested experience and training (E&T) exam work behaviors to ensure the content is applicable to the work of the position. Ensures all necessary information is provided and consistent with the request to use supplemental screening questions or criteria.

2. Recommends modification of an examination or updates to the position description for documentation reviews that fail validity. Researches exam versions to determine which is the most recent and content valid, as needed.

3. Modifies exams for positions based on agency request, failed validity check, or due to job class changes. Determines changes based on content validity. Writes documentation to support exam changes, as needed, including job analysis or update reports.

4. Creates/edits/copies supplemental questions for nonmerit-covered postings and merit-covered postings that may include selective certification, condition of employment, or MET questions.

5. Creates and/or ensures accurate use of exams plans, NEOGOV evaluation steps, and written exam records. Ensures accurate and final exam scoring information is entered as needed. Provides necessary exam related information in exam plan tasks.

6. Enters scored and non-scored supplemental questions into NEOGOV postings. Ensures appropriate question scoring is utilized and scoring plans are created as needed.

7. Prepares, maintains, or updates electronic correspondence, reports, forms, manuals, documents, etc., on an as-needed basis.

8. Proofreads information for accuracy of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and factual and logical organization and presentation of subject matter.

9. Responds to inquiries from applicants, agency human resources offices, and others via phone, correspondence, or in-person to answer questions relating to examination programs or postings.

10. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, agency human resources offices, subject matter experts, applicants, and others.

Performs other related job duties and activities as required.

The incumbent of this position performs the above duties and responsibilities with general direction and assistance from the supervisor. Some day-to-day actions of the assigned programs are handled independently. Issues or detected potential problems are discussed with supervisor.
