Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. This position exists for semi-skilled maintenance and repair work in the building, mechanical or electrical trades at the Laurel Hill State Park Complex. This position contributes to the bureau's mission of protecting and maintaining the commonwealth's natural resources. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Opens blocked drains; repairs leaky faucets; and cuts and threads pipe. Replaces bulbs, shades, switches; helps MR2 in major electrical maintenance and repair; and oils, adjusts and cares for electrical motors. Builds doors; lays hardwood and engineered flooring; makes repairs to floors; takes out and replaces screens and repairs screens as needed; replaces broken windows, and sash weights; and repairs door checks and locks. Replace roofing including shingles and metal roofing. Makes minor repairs and adjustments to various equipment and oils and lubricate machinery as necessary. Mixes cement; helps to lay blocks, bricks and pour cement forms and assist in finsihing. Operate various equipment and dump trucks. Paints buildings, rooms, walls or other surfaces as assigned. Cuts grass using lawn care equipment including mowers and tractors. Removes snow from sidewalks and parking lots using basic snow removal equipment. Operate chainsaw to assist in hazardous tree removal program. Performs related work as required. |

Employee is expected to be familiar with required procedures,policies and regulations. Special assignments are explained in detail both verbally and in writing. |
