Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. Employee will be required to work weekends, holidays and varying shifts as park operations dictate. This is a seasonal, semi-skilled maintenance position at Worlds End State Parks. This position assists skilled maintenance staff with the completion of projects and basic park maintenance. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. This position assists skilled maintenance employee with the completion of carpentry, electrical, masonry, or plumbing related work. This position performs minor repair work, of a routine nature, such as painting, shingling, and repairing windows, etc. This work will require the use of small hand and power tools. This position is responsible for routine maintenance of park buildings and facilities, including cleaning comfort facilities, and park buildings, snow removal, grass cutting and trail maintenance. This position performs general maintenance to water and plumbing systems, including blocked drains, faucet repairs, etc. This position performs minor maintenance to park vehicles, including changing oil and filters, greasing fittings, and checking/filling fluid levels. Employee works with volunteers/volunteer groups on a variety of projects and may be required to act as the lead worker on these projects. This position uses radios and telephones for communication between park staff. Performs any other maintenance related functions as deemed necessary by the maintenance supervisor or park manager. |
