Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. 1. Processes mail/voluntary audits, physical audits, and monthly payroll audits and then enters required data into the SMART System. 2. Evaluates all components of the audit and identifies changes/updates to be made on the policy, i.e., ownership, entity type, experience modification/merit factors, business operations, locations, additional businesses, anniversary rating dates, Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN), classification additions, deletions, etc. Directs policy changes to the appropriate sources, i.e., Legal Entity, Underwriting, and Claims Divisions. 3. Validates policyholder's wages prior to audit entry. 4. Collaborates with Accounting Division and Collections Department regarding requests for disputes and invoicing issues. 5. Examines assignment of claimants' classifications. When claimant's classification change is warranted, notifies Claims Division to affect the change/update. 6. Determines necessity for re-audits and re-assignments to premium audit vendors. 7. Sends correspondence to insureds, agents, and brokers concerning the receipt of incomplete audits and requests compliance with premium audit vendors to acquire a physical audit. 8. Communicates with insureds, agents, brokers, and regulatory agencies regarding audit issues, e.g., classification and payroll allocations. 9. Identifies audit providers' errors that are recorded and returned to the audit provider for clarification and correction. 10. Responds to written requests from the Pennsylvania Compensation Rating Bureau (PCRB) and Office of the Attorney General (OAG) for copies of audits and premium invoices. 11. Directs Clerk to perform Unemployment Compensation Wage checks, UC2, and UC2A checks to verify quarterly payrolls reported. 12. Communicates with PCRB and Coal Mine Compensation Rating Bureau (CMCRB) regarding classification of business issues. 13. Reviews prior years' SWIF audited policies to ascertain if there have been any changes during an insured's audited policy term. 14. Creates detailed electronic notes that chronicle pending issues, telephone conversations with internal and external sources, communications sent and received, explanations, actions required and taken pertaining to audit related matters. 15. Interacts with and seeks legal opinion from Legal Division regarding subcontractor issues. 16. Performs related work as assigned. |

Assess and determine a risk's classification, owner/officer, employee, and claimant classification. 2. Evaluate and appropriate payroll allocation per classification. 3. Conduct a comprehensive review of all aspects of an insured's exposure to ensure that the policy was underwritten correctly. When problematic issues are identified, can direct other departments' employees to affect revisions and/or consult with Supervisor/Manager concerning the matters requiring correction. 4. Decide when a re-audit or re-assignment of an audit is necessitated. 5. Determine compliance with policies and procedures. |
