Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. 65% - Serves independently or as a contributing member of a team, completing assigned duties of limited scope, and communicating with the audit supervisor or auditor-in-charge by utilizing the following skills: 1 .Develops a working knowledge of PLCB functions, auditing and office techniques. 2.Trave1s to assignment site locations to interview staff and obtain evidence. 3.Utilizes state vehicle provided to the employee for Commonwealth use. The employee must possess (prior to employment) and maintain a valid Class C PA driver's license while employed in this position. 4.Participates in interviews of PLCB staff to elicit factual information relevant to the assignment. 5 .Utilizes a personal computer and a working knowledge of software such as MS Excel and MS Access to gather, interpret, compile, and analyze data pertinent to assignments. 6.Performs fieldwork audit activities such as testing transactions, performing inventories, visually examining records and documentation, and observing events to ensure that PLCB policy, designed internal controls, and laws and regulations are adhered to. 7 .Prepares and organizes the required audit documentation necessary to support the conclusions reached and the recommendations made. 8.Uti1izes a personal computer and a knowledge of software such as MS Word to prepare the written correspondence and reports required to effectively communicate work results. 9.Adheres to all Commonwealth, Office of the Budget, and Internal Audit policies, procedures and operating guidelines. 5% - Receives assignments of increasing difficulty and responsibility with less supervision as knowledge and on-the job experience is gained. 5% - Gains professional experience and ability primarily. 20% - Operates standard office equipment, including a personal computer and data recorder using program applications appropriate to assigned duties. 5% - Performs other duties as assigned. Examples of work (Illustrative Only - This list is not exhaustive and may vary with specific positions and may be supplemented as necessary.) •Audit engagements, such as agreed-upon-procedures, performance audits, and financial audits conducted in accordance with Government Auditing Standards. •Investigations wherein the financial interest of the PLCB is affected or conditions may represent a potential loss. •Tests of compliance with internal controls, PLCB policy and procedures and Commonwealth laws and regulations. •Monitor enterprise risk factors. •Maintain store safe combinations and keys. |
