Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. The employee in this position functions as a clerical assistant within the Bureau of Child Support Enforcement (BCSE), Office of Income Maintenance (OIM). The employee is responsible for a wide range of clerical support functions across the Bureau to ensure timeliness of assignments and program operational efficiencies. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. • Receives and reviews all incoming USPS mail to determine proper routing and priority. Date stamps, scans, emails and distributes correspondence, program material, and data to appropriate intra and inter-office units. • Chooses proper vehicle for most efficient transmission of outgoing mail; i.e., electronic, certified, overnight or regular mail, return receipt request, etc. • Scans SSA letters into PACSES Imaging for the local county Domestic Relations Sections. • Receives, reviews and data enter Fair Hearing (FH) requests and withdrawals into the Enterprise Case Management Systems. Assigns FH requests to field staff. Manages the DFO FH repository. • Maintains and updates details of each position in the bureau and necessary accesses to systems, applications, Resource Accounts, ListServ accounts, etc. associated with that position. Submits and tracks through completion all onboard and offboard requests for such access. • Assists with duties, responsibilities, and tasks associated with the Division for Central Operation when increased volumes warrant it, and when other clerical assistant staff are absent. • Performs other related duties and tasks as assigned. |
