Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. This is clerk receptionist/public relations and facility registration type of work performing standardized duties following established methods, procedures, and guidelines. This employee is responsible for collecting various revenues and supplying information to park visitors, at campground contact stations and/or park office. This position performs duties that are routinely executed seven days a week and will routinely be scheduled to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed for park operations and to meet seasonal needs. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Collects various revenues (family camping, boat mooring, boat launching, group tent camping, pavilion rental, etc.) according to written and oral guidelines and provides appropriate permit in order to document transaction. Reconciles all money collected against permits sold by using adding machine or making simple arithmetical calculations in order to assure accuracy of work on a daily basis. Prepares bank deposit daily. Answers telephone. Supplies general park information to park visitors through in-person requests, and telephone inquiries. Uses computer to register campers, collect money, issue receipts, print reports, and operate the park reservation and revenue system according to written procedures. Operates park radio following FCC and Bureau guidelines for the purpose of transmitting and receiving information to and from other employees and related agencies. Performs light custodial duties by sweeping floors, washing windows, dusting furniture, and cleaning toilets and sink bowls in the contact station in order to provide a sanitary facility for park employees. Performs a variety of related duties as required in order to accomplish an efficient and safe operation. Generally assists with visitors, telephone calls, and radio calls, selling and distributing permits, supplying information to visitors, etc. Completes various reports (attendance, calendar, etc.) in handwritten or computer input form following written and/or verbal guidelines. |
