Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. This position is located in Employment Banking and Revenue Technology Services Office, Operations Division. This is a technical Supervisory position, which has the responsibility for overseeing the activities of Computer Operator 2’s within the Department of Revenue. Supervisors are part of an around the clock, state of the art RICOH print department. Responsibility includes overseeing Operators, and maintaining a smooth and efficient work process. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Performs full range of supervisor duties over a staff of Computer Operators in support of print operations within the Department of Revenue. Monitors and checks printer output for quality control. Supervises report separation and distribution to ensure correct delivery and handling of reports, forms and letters. Checks supplies and keeps an up-to-date inventory. Trains operators in the Department of Revenue's computer operations systems and monitors training to enhance their knowledge of methods or techniques that are incorporated. Ensures maximum production time by resolving processing errors through interventions as soon as possible to resolve problems. Contacts RICOH Customer Engineers (CE) and explains problem encountered and assists CE as needed. Maintains a shift report of all incidents encountered with information relevant to each incident, possible causes, corrective actions taken, and resolution. Provides shift coverage for other shifts when necessary. Ensures work environment, especially shared areas, are safe, clean and orderly. Performs other related duties as required. |
