Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

Research & provide various driver information products for the general public, department personnel, employers, insurance companies/agencies, law enforcement agencies, legislators, courts, attorneys, messengers, wholesale providers & other state/federal agencies.

Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

•Reviews application and payment method prior to processing request. Rejects documents to customer for insufficient fees or more information needed to ensure that customer receives accurate information/product.
•Uses a PC for the data entry process, selecting the requested driving record, producing a letter of clearance, providing micro-film copies, utilizing ECS, scanning and attestations.
•Verifies and mails completed information to customers to ensure that each customer receives the appropriate record.
•Maintains an accuracy rate of at least 98% (2% maximum error rate). Work leaders or Supervisors will provide feedback to staff regarding correct processing procedures and train new employees to meet quality standards, as well as compiling and maintaining reporting systems pertaining to processing and error rates.
•Completes and types information on attestations ensuring that correct information is given and typed without error.
•Affixes Department seal on certified work.
•Prepares daily production sheet.
•Responsible for preparing deposit information and transmitting received revenues.
•Maintains printer and WID machine, ensuring that machines are operable.
•Communicates with internal and external customers in a courteous manner.
•Understands and follows through with instructions both verbal and written.
•Responsible for ensuring that the correct fee waiver code is used and properly documented whenever a fee waiver is necessary to process a customer transaction. Complies with all aspects of the Fee Waiver Guidelines.
•Responsible for the researching, processing and customer communication of all notepads that are applicable to the responsibilities related to your processing unit within establihed guidelines and timeframes (Notepad/72 hrs. and Priority notepad/24 hrs.)
• Responsible for completing all mandatory Office of Administration and Driver and Vehicle Services online and in-person training courses within required time frame or deadline.
•Other duties as assigned.

WORKFORCE AND SUCCESSION PLANNING
Take an active role in succession planning by completing a Career Development Plan in collaboration with the supervisor. In conjunction with the supervisor, participate in knowledge management/transfer by identifying key aspects of the job and sharing explicit and tacit program/technical knowledge with other employees.

route, your communication protocols, and appropriately react in the event of
an incident.
