Reviews all documents received from complainants unable to serve a corporation at their registered office address, and determines whether the submission complies with the pertinent sections of the law and is acceptable. Files requests, as appropriate, for court orders, secures filing fee, and obtains a docket record and number. Prepares and sends a rejection letter to the complainant to correct the application. Works with the Department’s legal office as needed. Evaluates and processes initial, renewal, and amendment of domestic and foreign applications for Uniform Commercial Code, Business Corporations, Nonprofits, Limited Liability Companies, General Partnerships, Fictitious Names, Trademarks, Charitable Organizations, Institution of Purely Public, and Annual Registrations. Reviews for discrepancies and is responsible for approving or disapproving the applications. Analyzes various information, data, processes, procedures, and policies and makes recommendations on internal operations. Also maintains internal Sharepoint site materials and folders for the Bureau. Prepares all legislative reports which contain numerous and varied data. Works in conjunction with bureau leadership, vendors, legal counsel. Analyzes data and prepares reports which contains comprehensive analysis, statistical information, trends analysis, and recommendations. Manipulate data in Excel, and prepares the reports in Word, pdf, and PowerPoint formats. Responds to inquiries from the public, legislators, legislative office, other government officials and agencies as well as other special requests including Right-To-Know inquiries. Responses are made in person, by electronic mail, facsimile and/or telephone. Acts on behalf the Secretary and manages the Corporation Bureau Advisory Committee (CBAC) annual meeting to ensure all members have been renewed, oaths received in advance of the meeting, coordinates the meeting transcripts, and prepares the agenda for all presenters. Writes invitations and letters on behalf of the Secretary of the Commonwealth or the Director and works with the chairperson to assist with the required biennial report due to the General Assembly. Processes purchasing requests from bureau leadership for bureau needs, creates shopping carts, and works with fiscal staff to obtain procurement needs to include products, goods, and services. Maintains Bureau supply levels. (including information technology products, goods, and services.) Administers the timekeeping process for the entire Bureau. Oversees staff timesheets and records hours of Bureau staff. Processes and calculates all overtime and tracks compensatory leave worked by employees. Receives and maintains leave slips and enters into the Commonwealth’s leave and payroll computer system. Handles discrepancies. Works with and provides information to the Department’s Time and Attendance Administrator located in the Department’s Human Resource Office. Schedules and coordinates all external meetings for the bureau, including securing meeting venues and preparing materials. Schedules and coordinates all travel arrangements for bureau leadership, including booking flights, hotels, and rental cars, as well as managing travel itineraries and expense reports. BCCO Parking Liaison--Works with operations to maintain parking assignments for Bureau staff. Performs other duties/projects as assigned. |
