Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. An employee in this class performs clerical work of moderate complexity which requires the utilization of typing skills, data processing skills and the processing of a variety of documents which include the verification of information, performing arithmetic calculations, coding, and assisting the public. The employee in this position is responsible for the overall clerical operation and administration of the Hyner Run State Park Office as part of the Little Pine State Park Complex. Work may involve providing secretarial services to the park manager. Work may also involve providing training and guidance to new employees and fulfilling a lead worker role for routine clerical operations. Employees work with considerable independence within standard operating procedures, however, detailed supervisory guidance and review is received for new or unusual situations and changes in operating procedures and policies. The person in this position is also a primary public contact employee headquartered at Hyner Run State Park. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Answers telephone, responds to inquiries, manages park's email, issues permits for camping and helps keep the office clean. Proofreads varying types of materials to insure that information is grammatically correct, complete, consistent, and adheres to agency rules and regulations. Gather and input information into the Park Portal for park authorized agreements. Present agreements to the park manager for approval. Reads, interprets and helps to communicate agency goals, philosophies and objectives to park visitors at Hyner Run and Hyner View State Parks. Operates 2-way radio. Organizes and types materials and sets up formats and layouts for printing booklets, phamplets and brochures for submission to the park manager. Maintains and updates the park's supply of brochures, pamphlets, maps and other publications. Assists the park's administrative assistant with the tracking of revenue, verification of permits and reservations, collection and dissemination of on-site employee information, and duties that may be assigned. Maintains the park's bulletin boards. Collect fees for camping,pavilion rentals, donations and any other applicable fees and enters data into the state reservation system. Handles funds in accordance with the cash management policy. Assists other employees with park reservation and revenue procedures. Determines supply needs for the park office and Hyner Run Cabin. Reports purchases to the main park office and keeps track of receipts and other purchase documents. Repsonsible for all incoming and outgoing regular mail. Maintains all files at the Hyner Run Park Office. Assists with tracking and calculating monthly visitor attendance for Hyner Run and Hyner View State Parks. Operates office and mail processing machines such as the adding machine, photo-copier, postage meter, and instruct others on their use.
