Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. This position serves as mid-level administrator of the Datacap and FileNet product within the Enterprise Shared Services (ESS) section of the Solution Management- Cross Applications Integration Division (CAI) within the Employment, Banking and Revenue (EBR) Delivery Center (DC). The incumbent supports all Datacap and FileNet solutions across the enterprise. Datacap is an enterprise scanning solution which allows for remote and central mass scanning of documents for submission into FileNet and advanced Optical Character Recognition (OCR). FileNet is an Enterprise Content Management system (ECM) used to manage, organize, and store documents, images, and files in support of the Department and its applications. The incumbent in this position assists the lead Datacap and FileNet administrators in all aspects of Datacap and FileNet including the installation, configuration, documentation, testing, maintenance (including patches and upgrades), monitoring, problem resolution tracking and support of this product for the EBR DC's OIT projects and business needs. This requires interaction with all application project teams leveraging the product at the EBR DC. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Incumbent serves as the Department’s mid-level Datacap and FileNet enterprise administrator and is responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, configuration, documentation, problem resolution tracking, software upgrades, backup and recovery efforts, product support, and monitoring of the Datacap and FileNet products. Incumbent is responsible for assisting with the configuration, administration, documentation, testing, implementation and support of the Datacap and FileNet products across all environments. Works to create a truly shared Datacap and FileNet infrastructure that allows multiple application development projects to leverage the products without affecting each other. Assists projects with on-boarding and leveraging the Datacap and FileNet products to meet their scanning and content management requirements. Works with the functional areas of EBR DC and EBR Technology Services Office (TSO) in support of the Datacap and FileNet product including database administrator, storage team, server farm staff, architecture, and the networking team. Creates Object Stores and Document Classes in FileNet in support of application development projects. Assists in configuring the Datacap and FileNet products for high performance and availability. Assists developers in developing, testing, and implementing application interfaces with the Datacap and FileNet product. Maintains a working knowledge of Datacap (includes RuleRunner, Taskmaster, Datacap Studio, Datacap Web Client and Datacap Client tools) and FileNet (includes Content Platform Engine, IBM Content Navigator (ICN) and IBM Content Collector (ICC) for files). Continuously researches enhancements, fixes, patches and issues within the product suite. Incumbent participates in investigating Datacap and FileNet versions, fix packs and upgrades to determine when and/or if a version fix pack or upgrade is needed. Assists in the coordination and implementation of enterprise changes with application teams, the Shared Services group, and the EBR DC Change Advisory Board. Enters PMR tickets with IBM to address outstanding issues with Datacap and FileNet that cannot be resolved internally. The incumbent also works with vendor staff to troubleshoot and resolve these outstanding issues in a timely manner. Assists in the creation of Datacap and FileNet standards for all projects to leverage when using the product. Contributes to enterprise infrastructure/architecture and design discussions as they pertain to the administration of Datacap and FileNet including discussion around load balancing, cluster, stress and load, availability and security. Incumbent maintains a thorough knowledge and understanding of Commonwealth and Department policies and procedures dealing with product maintenance, development and security. Performs related work as required. Be knowledgeable of, adhere to, and contribute to established service management processes and procedures; knowledge management processes and procedures; and digital accessibility regulations and standards. Confidentiality Policy The incumbent of this position is required to adhere to the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Data Confidentiality Policy. This agreement is distributed electronically through an eAgreement application. It must be acknowledged at the start of employment upon initial sign-on to the network and re-acknowledged as requested thereafter. |
