Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. 80% Operates a medium weight straight truck with a capacity of 35,000 or more gross weight to deliver expendable supplies, clothing items, handguns, shotguns, rifles and furniture to sixteen troop headquarters throughout the state. 5% Performs manual labor including loading and unloading truck or scheduled deliveries. Loads and unloads material shipped and delivered to Central Supply. 5% Operates small van, forklifts, floor jacks and other equipment used to move large or heavy items. Maintains equipment records. 5% Responsible for maintaining mileage records and scheduling maintenance and state inspections on all delivery vehicles along with knowledge of state laws pertaining to weight limits etc. 5% Performs related duties dictated by departments needs and other work assigned by the supervisor. Must posses a Class B license with Air brake. Hazmat Endorsement will be required after hiring. |
