Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

This position is a Home Headquarter position.

This position represents the Office of Developmental Programs within the Central Region. The incumbent is responsible for inspection, licensure, and monitoring of community service providers to insure that they meet the appropriate regulatory standards and are operating in accordance with legal requirements and established rules and regulations.

Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

-Conducts inspections of community service providers and programs to measure compliance with appropriate regulations. Inspections are conducted for Community Homes, Family Living Homes, Adult Training Facilities and Vocational Facilities.

-Prepares Licensing Inspection Summaries, as needed, citing specific areas of non-compliance which were observed during an inspection.

-Reviews plans of correction when submitted by community service providers recommending acceptance or disapproval. Recommends approval, renewal, or revocation of licensure of community service providers.

-Provides guidance and advice to community service providers for correcting non-compliance areas.

-Provides technical assistance to community service providers, county ID programs and the general public by explaining regulations and licensure requirements governing ID programs.

-Conducts investigations of community service providers whenever complaints are received.

-Attends appeal hearings and provides testimony regarding license

• Determines non-compliance areas during inspections and confers with supervisor as needed.
• Responds to community service provider’s questions regarding regulations and the licensing process.
• Reviews recommendations for licensure with supervisor.
• Reviews results of investigations with supervisor prior to determining non-compliance areas.
