Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. 80% of working time: •Checks temperatures of all refrigerators, freezers, milk coolers and walk-in boxes containing residents' food. Checks and maintains ice machines, household refrigerators, milk coolers, air conditioners and walk-in boxes. Maintain all circulating pumps related to refrigeration equipment. •Install new refrigeration and related equipment when necessary. •Install new HVAC and related equipment when necessary. •Makes adjustments as well as minor and major repairs to the heating systems(steam, hot water, and gas). Maintain central air conditioning units throughout facility. •Operate and maintain refrigerant recovery and recycling equipment according to manufacturers' specifications and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. •Recovers and recycles refrigerants and carries out the service and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment in accordance with Federal Environmental •Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. •Assists electricians as required. •Perform related duties 20% of working time: Perform preventive maintenance on all related equipment. Lubricate and maintain all related parts for above equipment. Order and maintain proper stock of parts to repair related machinery. Maintains associated preventive maintenance records and schedules. |
