Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Work involves minor repair jobs of a routine nature, which are carried out with only general supervision, or more advanced work assisting a journeyman tradesman or maintenance supervisor in regular trade's maintenance jobs. Performs preventative and operational maintenance of facilities, equipment, and natural resources including cleaning, basic repairs and adjustments. Performs routine building maintenance such as painting, re-shingling roofs, repairing spouting, flashing, screens, and windows, requiring the use of hand and power tools. Cleans and sanitizes rental cottages, restrooms, pavilions, and other park buildings. Replaces bulbs, shades, switches; assists with electrical maintenance and repair; oils, adjusts and cares for electrical motors. Mixes cement and mortar, helps to lay masonry and chinking. Constructs cement forms. Assists skilled tradesman with grounds maintenance, carpentry, plumbing and electrical work. Prepares and paints park buildings, structures and signs, and other wood produc |
