Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. The purpose of this position is to design and develop functional/technical training courses for the entire agency, and facilitate all agency-wide training programs designed for both store operations and administrative employees. It is also responsible for all associated activities, processes, communications related to agency-wide training, and ensuring the availability of high quality and effective learning opportunities for all agency employees. Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Functional/technical training design and development: Designs and develops end-user functional and technical training and utilizes training delivery technologies such as web collaboration tools, learning management technologies, and multi-media training technologies. Products finalized after development and design include but are not limited to: web-based training modules, training participant guides, facilitator guides, visual aids and evaluation tools for a complete professional course package that can be offered to agency employees and/or utilized by specific business groups within the agency. Agency-wide training program facilitation: Independently conducts leadership, customer service, interpersonal skills, and other theoretical training courses for all agency audiences. Also conducts functional/technical and procedural-based sessions for all agency staff. Understands adult learning theory delivery techniques and applies them professionally during the training event. Utilization of technologies and solutions to develop and facilitate training courses: Utilizes current technologies to develop and facilitate functional/technical training courses. Duties include agency web-based training development, virtual classroom production, knowledge of SCORM (web-based training industry standard) compliant software, and ability to develop training materials that are accessible and 508 (ADA) compliant. Transfer of training and skill application: Incorporates training transfer theories and skill application strategies into all training design, development and delivery activities. Creates training support systems and resources to provide agency employees with access to additional learning resources and skill support materials that enhance job performance and encourage behavior change. Training consultations: Consults with all levels of agency staff to provide training recommendations and products to meet agency needs. Utilizes communication and skillful consulting to establish and generate collaborative working relationships. Consultations may result in; specialized program design and development, development and analysis of performance measures, train-the-trainer sessions, and/or actual program delivery. Expected deliverables during an agency training consultation may include but are not limited to; deployment plans, training materials, communication plans, training effectiveness measurement plans, and visual aids. Other duties and special projects are assigned by the Division Chief and/or Bureau Director. This position is authorized for part-time telework. Specific tasks, such as, but not limited to facilitating training, atttending training, attending meetings and/or demos, and/or using specific technology may necessitate onsite presence at the NWOB or other PLCB locations. |
