This position provides clerical support, and the typing and processing of documents in a variety of functions for the Bureau of Training and Education. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. 75% Processes all applications pertaining to calendar/mandatory/specialized position courses held at the Academy, off-site locations, and Northeast and Southeast Regional Training Centers to include: creation and maintenance of applicant training records via Access; preparation of rosters, certificates, confirmation notices; creation and maintenance of training files; handling telephone calls relating to training courses; dissemination of training correspondence to applicable Bureaus/Troops and law enforcement agencies via e-mail, fax, or US mail; and scanning of training course documents. 10% Serves as the Bureau's Workers Compensation Service Representative. 5% Provides support to the Certifying School Official for the G.I. Bill Benefits for Veteran Cadets. 5% Provides support for various Department ceremonies by assisting with preparations and performing receptionist duties at the events. 5% Other clerical duties as assigned, including filling in for the Clerk Typist at the Front Desk when required. |
