Position Purpose:

This position supports the development and delivery of SAP S/4 training by working closely with subject matter experts to document business processes and translate them into instructional materials. Responsibilities include creating training content in multiple formats and maintaining LMS course information. The role collaborates with business owners, technical teams, and Bureau staff to ensure training materials accurately reflect approved processes and system functionality.

Description of Duties:

1. Training Development, Delivery, and Instructional Content Creation
• Develops and maintains SAP S/4HANA and OB training materials based on approved business processes and established instructional standards.
• Develops instructional content in multiple formats, including written guides, job aids, recorded demonstrations, narrated walkthroughs, and interactive e-learning modules using established instructional software tools.
• Deliver instructor-led training sessions in virtual and in-person formats; adjust instructional methods to meet the needs of defined audiences.
• Reviews, participant feedback, and training completion surveys to recommend updates to instructional materials.
• Ensure training content reflects applicable Commonwealth policies, system functionality, and documented business processes.
• Evaluate training needs by reviewing documented business processes, system functionality, and staff performance to identify instructional requirements.
• Develops and maintains audience appropriate content across internal platforms, including SharePoint sites, end user documentation, workflow diagrams, and training materials.
• Research training methodologies and instructional delivery tools to recommend enhancements to course materials and delivery methods.

2. Learning Management System (LMS) Administration
• Maintains and updates web-based training content within the LMS in accordance with established procedures.
• Generates and reviews LMS reports related to course participation and completion.
• Coordinates core scheduling and updates as directed.
• Recommends improvements to LMS course configuration based on user feedback and system capabilities.


3. Business Process Analysis
• Support the implementation of approved process changes aligned with policy and enterprise system capabilities.
• Collaborate with business owners’ leaders to develop and implement training courses.
• Considers internal controls and operational risk when documenting or supporting process changes.

4. Collaboration and Support
• Serve as a technical training resource to Bureau staff regarding SAP functionality and related instructional materials.
• Work with other Bureaus to ensure training materials accurately reflect documented cross-functional processes.
• Participate in group and individual projects at the direction of Workforce Development leadership.
• Works with Bureau staff, supervisors, and managers to support training delivery and functional SAP use.
• Collaborates with Workforce Development staff and other Bureaus to ensure instructional materials reflect documented processes.
• Coordinates with IT and technical teams regarding system issues and training impacts.
• Work with enterprise system support teams or external consultants as needed for training support purposes.
• Maintains and updates audience focused content across internal platforms in coordination with policy, business units, and leadership.
• Collaborates with Communications staff to support the development of visual content, templates, and messaging for Office of the Budget communications and LinkedIn posts.
