Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. This position performs semi-skilled maintenance and repair work in a variety of trades in order to prepare, maintain, and repair the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board's (PLCB) regional retail stores, warehouses, and offices. This position will primarily assist skilled journey level or supervisory maintenance employees in the performance of its duties; routine duties will be completed independently. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Assists in the construction, assembly, installation, and maintenance of office and retail fixtures, including but not limited to shelving, gondolas, display units, customer control railing, offices, sales counters, partitions, walls, platforms, cabinets, supply shelves, work tables, desk tops, change drawers, signs (interior and/or exterior), etc. Assists in the performance of various maintenance related duties to the interior and exterior of leased premises in order to provide safe and attractive facilities, including but not limited to: Repairs and maintains doors, door frames, door checks, automatic door openers, door closures and locks, and alarms and locking devices. Prepares, installs, and repairs floors (concrete and/or wood base) which may include vinyl tile, carpet tile, and ceramic tile. Paints and decorates interiors of stores and offices to include various wall finishes. Installs and repairs electric circuits, outlets, ballasts, panel board switches, indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures, and general wiring, in accordance with the National Electric Code, and all required electrical wiring for computer operated cash registers and security equipment systems. Installs, repairs, and/or relocates telephone equipment/lines and alarms and other signal devices within retail stores, warehouses, and offices. Installs and repairs commode mechanisms, spigots, drain pipes, and all other plumbing fixtures in accordance with acceptable plumbing trade standards. Installs, transfers, and maintenans safes, refrigerated cold boxes, and other store related equipment, as necessary. Removes and disposes of debris from stores due to damage by vandalism, floods, fires, or other emergency situations and removes/transfers all shelving, furniture, equipment, and general debris from stores due to closing, refurbishments, relocations, or other situations as required. Responds to emergencies occurring in/at retail stores and other facilities to include boarding doors, windows, roofs, etc., with the objective being to provide security until permanent repairs are completed. Operates and maintains various hand tools and power tools such as table saws, jointers, band saws, sanders, drills, lifts, and various other power tools in a safe, responsible, and secure manner. Operates and maintains, in a safe, responsible, and secure manner, a variety of maintenance vehicles for transport of equipment, supplies, and materials throughout the region(s). Completes necessary electronic or hardcopy reports and forms as required. Travels in overnight status, when necessary, including assignments outside the region, when performing various duties and assignments. Drives, operates, and maintains various cars, trucks, and vehicles that do not require a Commercial Driver’s License. Performs other related duties as required. |
