Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

The person in this position is responsible for providing assistive technology and accessibility support and training to OVR staff related to software applications and hardware used within OVR. Collaborate with OVR staff on programs and projects as it relates to accessibility and assistive technology. Assess the effectiveness of and the use of accessible hardware and software applications within OVR, and ensure that they are configured to meet the needs of staff and customers.

Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

Provide statewide trainings on assistive technology and programs used by OVR staff in the provision of services to customers.
Provide in person and virtual accessibility trainings in various settings: one on one, large and small groups.
Develop and implement user-facing materials, guides, and other resources for AT software that are used by OVR staff.
Develop, monitor, and administer OVR/BBVS Accessibility Training Request Resource Account as per internal policies, processes, and procedures.
Develop, maintain, and complete accessibility training forms to document staff training needs, goals and objective, and training outcomes as per internal policies, processes, and procedures.
Prepare documents in accessible formats using appropriate software programs to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
Utilizing assistive technology software, assess and provide technical support on web accessibility for webpages developed and utilized within OVR.

Stay up to date and provide training on the use of the latest accessibility software and hardware as it relates to internal electronic programs used by OVR/BVS staff in the delivery of services to customers.

Responsible for keeping up to date on OVR/BBVS policies and procedures in all program areas to ensure job specific knowledge requirements and information sharing.
Prepare and present position specific updates, guidance documents, presentations to OVR/BBVS agency meetings, stakeholder meetings, and community events.
Collaborate with Special Programs Division staff in developing and maintain trainings, procedural documents, and reports related to all BBVS program areas.
Performs other duties as assigned.

This position will have a high level of independent decision making related to the day-to-day responsibilities and the information that will be shared with BBVS Senior management. The incumbent will use their knowledge of OVR/BBVS Policies/Procedures/Field Operations to complete job duties and assignments, to make recommendations and to provide trainings.
