Position Purpose:

This position serves as a PLCB Marketing Analyst Trainee and will participate in a structured 12-month training program. This position will receive relevant on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and assignments aimed at developing proficiency in the development and analysis of marketing initiatives for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.

THIS POSITION PERFORMS ASSIGNED DUTIES UNDER CLOSE SUPERVISORY OVERSIGHT.

WORK INVOLVES EXPOSURE AND TRAINING IN A VARIETY OF RETAIL MARKETING AND MERCHANDISING PROGRAMS AND FUNCTIONAL AREAS:

ADVERTISING, PROMOTIONS, AND DESIGN DIVISION
Assists in evaluating the effectiveness of promotions and campaigns by collecting and reviewing performance data and presenting findings for discussion.

Observes and participates in collaborative discussions with cross-functional business teams to support the selection of products and promotions for advertising initiatives.

Supports the development of point-of-sale signage, promotional materials, and consumer education resources by assisting with the research, drafting content, and creative review.

Serves as a liaison between external creative and media partners for Fine Wine & Good Spirits (FW&GS) promotional activities.

DIGITAL MARKETING AND E-COMMERCE DIVISION
Assists in the creation and maintenance of website content for FWGS.com to include copy, images, promotions and reporting.

Supports digital marketing efforts for FW&GS by learning to assist with social media and email content calendar creation by monitoring trends, platform activity and consumer engagement patterns, copy development and basic application design tasks.

Assists with monitoring social media channels and drafting replies to consumer questions and comments using appropriate templates and alerts the supervisor or customer relations staff of potential issues.

Provides support in implementing social media plans for event promotions as developed by the social media manager, including assisting with scheduling, photographing, and posting at events.

RETAIL MERCHANDISING OFFICE
Learns to apply established FW&GS brand standards to store layouts and assists in developing merchandising guidelines to support consistent product presentation across stores.

Assists with the development of shelf and end cap strategies for individual stores by gathering information, reviewing planograms, and supporting merchandising initiatives, as instructed.

Participates in the review and selection of branded materials for remodeled, refurbished, or new stores by making recommendations for shelving, flooring, lighting, décor, etc.

Supports store reset activities by helping verify that products are placed according to approved promotional plans and established merchandising patterns, reporting discrepancies.

MISCELLANEOUS
Participates in and/or assists in the performance of other related duties.
