Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

Under the direction of Court Services Supervisor, is responsible for the data entry of court documents. This task must be performed in a timely manner to ensure that unsafe drivers are quickly sanctioned and their driving record reflects the appropriate action. This position requires knowledge of various departmental and out of state forms/documents, Pennsylvania Vehicle Code, Crimes Code, Non-Resident Violator's Compact, and Driver's License Compact.


Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

• Understands the proper procedure involved in the examination and data entry of
all documents as they relate to the sanctioning of an individual’s driving
privileges.
• Exercises independent judgment when processing violations.
• Data enters violations that are received from the courts and other jurisdictions.
• Meets established quality standards to ensure the integrity of customer records.
• Examines and data enters out of state violations for Commercial Drivers.
• Examines and data enters electronically submitted violations that require manual
processing due to processing and or system errors.
• Ability to translate Out of State Violation Codes to Pennsylvania Vehicle Codes
and assign the appropriate American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators
(AAMVA) Code (ACD Code) to incoming out of state violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Abides by Departmental policies and procedures.
• Support and promote Driver and Vehicle Services quality and service initiatives.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

Maintains an accuracy rate of at least 98% (2% maximum error rate).

Individual is also required to be able to utilize all standard office equipment to include personal computer, fax machine, multi-function telephone, adding machine and printers designed to produce correspondence and driving products.
