Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Prepares paperwork pertinent to equipment training for employees through WPTA, county training and/or any other training facility. Provides written notification to employees of procedures required during training absences and maintains copies of training files. Advises administrative office staff on scheduled equipment training for all employees. Track and enter equipment certifications into LSO. EE Safety County Liaison assisting staff with all safety-related documentation. Gathers, prepares and files equipment accident documentation, inputs information into ORIGAMI. Gathers work-related injury documentation, assists employees and supervisors with injury packets, inputs injury claims information into ESS, prepares required letters and other documents. Completes Tort Claims for Department vehicle accidents. Prepare weekly Workers Comp Report and send it to District Safety Coordinator and HRO. Maintains tracking on the OneDrive spreadsheet. Reviews annually the safety records of employees and assists in the Safety Award Program. Completes annual Liquid Fuel Tax report. Processes the lowboy hauling permits, when necessary. Enters fuel slips into SAP. Pulls reports daily to review transactions for accuracy and correct any discrepancies. Maintains and verifies fuel credit card inventory and replaces damaged or lost cards as needed. Review and completed monthly WEX Report Manages county recycling program arranging for pick-up of multi-site dumpsters and completes all program documentation. Process and file 614s after they have been reviewed. Prepares operator equipment training and certification paperwork, updates certification reports on the OneDrive, supplies training packets as requested, and prepares training request sheets for spring and fall bid days. Update fire evacuation plans and coordinate semi-annual fire drill with Equipment Manager to ensure compliance with safe evacuation practices. Assists with Safety Stand Down Day planning and preparation. M-805 processing. Track mechanic verifications of PA State Inspection license and expiration dates. Back-up for CA2 Receptionist. Enters First Reports, Customer Care Concerns (CCC) and Roadway Conditions Reporting System (RCRS) updates. May be required to work shifts for winter dispatch. Backup to dispatcher area. May be required to work winter shifts. This is not intended as an all-inclusive job description. May be required to perform a variety of clerical and typing duties to include typing letters, reports, memos and organizing files. Follows proper attendance and call off procedures. Schedules non-emergency absences in advance; observes start/stop times, breaks, and mealtimes; works efficiently and effectively alone and with others; is available for overtime emergency responses; and minimizes nonproductive and down time for self and crew. Recognizing that everyone is involved in the District’s and County’s actions to demonstrate sound environmental practices, each employee fulfills the maintenance unit business plan objectives related to the Strategic Environmental Management Program (SEMP). Attends environmental training designated for this working title. Assess your environment and be responsible for your safety, the safety of co-workers, and the public. Attend required safety training and adhere to the requirements of all safety manuals, policies, and laws. Succession Planning: Take an active role in succession planning by completing a Career Development Plan in collaboration with the supervisor. In conjunction with the supervisor, participate in knowledge management/transfer by identifying key aspects of the job and sharing explicit and tacit program/technical knowledge with other employees. Department Green Plan Policy: Commit to following the Department’s Green Plan Policy (Pub 712) and the associated principles. Failure to comply with the Department’s Green Plan Policy shall be documented in the employee performance review. Fair Labor Standards Act: Unless directed otherwise by your supervisor or manager, comply with stated work hours for the 7.5/8.0-hour day. |
