Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. 50% Answers, makes and directs phone calls from the institutional switchboard. Responds to general inquiries. 30% Proofreads materials to ensure the documentation is grammatically correct, complete, and consistent; and adheres to agency rules and regulations before submitting to the department head. 5% Operates office equipment and provides required care and maintenance of office equipment. 5% Orders office and cleaning supplies via the, APR/SRM System and from the Institution Warehouse as requested/needed. 5% Provides training and guidance to other clerical staff on use of the switchboard. employees. 5% All other duties as assigned included but not limited to photocopying, scanning, faxing, sending and organizing emails, and keeping office area neat and tidy. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 1. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing 2. Review and interpret information 3. Operate basic office equipment 4. Perform repetitive motions 5. Maintain regular and reliable attendance 6. Establish and maintain effective working relationships 7. Attend and participate in all mandatory training and/or testing 8.
