Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

The employee occupying this position is responsible and accountable for performing clerical duties under the supervision of an IMA1 in the Customer Service Center.


Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

Performs data entry by completing transactions requested from Income Maintenance staff. Reviews case record for completeness, accuracy and information for all program benefits. Complete necessary forms by transferring information from case record to ensure correct and timely benefits to clients.

Performs data entry by following instructions from the data entry document, completing data entry transactions, and routing record to proper source in order to ensure correct information is added to the database for clients to receive benefits.

Record information by transferring written or verbal instructions from IM staff in order to meet deadlines.

Sorts, distributes, and prioritizes case record actions from IM staff in order to meet deadlines.

Performs inquiry into databases and MAPPER by reading input documents, completing transactions, and responding to the requestor.

Maintains closed files by filing, purging, and arranging case record information and ensures that all information is updated.

Maintains and operates office machinery.

Responsible for the issuance and re-issuance of electronic benefits transfer cards by either operating the Administrative Work Station (AWS) or the Personal Identification Number (PIN) machine to ensure clients can access benefits electronically.

Performs other related duties as assigned. Work assignments are by unit and/or organizational needs.

Essential Functions

 1. Frequently receives and directs visitors and members while providing customer service.
 2. Constantly completes the daily mail runs which requires both walking and driving to delivery locations.

 4. Frequently completes data entry for each transaction utilizing various clerical maintenance screens to update case record information.
 5. Frequently demonstrates ability to interact with staff and the general public in a courteous and efficient manner.
