Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

This position is responsible for providing office and clerical support within a Correctional Facility and ensuring its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively.

Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

45% Records, prepares, and distributes information. Types correspondence/reports/forms; inputs/updates/modifies information in regards to the Medical Department.

20% Serves as a receptionist or rotating receptionist. Answers and directs phone calls; receives visitors and directs them as necessary; prepares and processes mail. Responds to written and/or verbal inquiries by creating/printing/distributing reports or providing other information as requested. Remains in compliance with standards of confidentiality inside and outside the office.

15% Opens and maintains files. Files forms, reports and folders electronically according to DOC policy and process

15% Assists with inventory control. Maintains office supplies and equipment.

5% Performs other related duties as assigned.
