Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. 40% 1. Prepares menu items such as soups, stews, gravies, casseroles, entrees, vegetables, desserts, etc., as directed. Transfers food product containers (e.g., heavy cases, large cans) from the storage area, freezer, and walk-in refrigerators to the preparation areas. Placing food items, when necessary, into and out of ovens. 20% 2. Serves prepared menu items, either through a service line or individually waiting on tables when necessary. While standing and participating in the food serving line, ensure plates, bowls, trays, and pans are relocated accordingly to maintain adequate supplies for serving. Carry trays and/or hot plates with meals to the dining area when serving special guests or dignitaries at the Academy. 15% 3. Cleans kitchen, dining rooms, dish rooms, storage areas, and any other related areas. 10% 4. Operates, maintains, and cleans equipment used in the preparation, serving, and cleanup of meals. 5% 5. Maintains adequate supplies of food, beverages, and condiments during serving periods. Replaces milk and juice in the appropriate dispensers. 5% 6. Assists in stocking and inventorying supplies as instructed. Stocks perishables immediately when they are delivered and places cases of vegetables and boxes of meats in the appropriate areas. Inspects routine tasks performed by assigned trainees. Orders supplies when directed by the supervisor. 5% 7. Performs other related duties as assigned, to include those outlined in the Department's CoG Plan when the Plan is activated. Responds to the designed alternate or secondary location when directed in response to a catastrophic incident. |
