Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Creates, edits, and corrects errors in Medicaid billing. Maintains the SVH’s census and reconciles it through various Excel spreadsheets in preparation for month-end 10-5588 report. Completes and reconciles the 10-5588 report for reimbursement from the Veterans’ Administration (VA) at the beginning of each month. Confirms figures with the VA before finalizing report. Receives, processes, and posts cash and check payments from residents, family and third parties for maintenance fees, Medicare B, PACE, Medicaid, Medicare D, etc. Completes deposit slips for cash and check payments. Verifies that they reconcile with amount received and reports run. Processes Medicare B billing in computer system. Processes and balances payments for PACE and Medicare D in computer system. Maintains and reconciles three separate Excel spreadsheets. Wires money from local bank to Treasury. Creates and parks transactions in SAP system for deposits. Keeps SVH insurance list current as resident information changes, or residents are admitted, discharged, or expire. Runs the Estate Billing Report and prepares the resident file for the FRO when a resident expires or is discharged. Mails monthly Resident Statements, quarterly Estate Billing Reports, past due letters, and other correspondence. Provides customer service to residents and their families regarding all revenue processes and procedures. Greets visitors, answers telephone calls, and maintains files. Orders and maintains office supplies. Opens and distributes mail. Submits work orders. Acts as notary public and provides notary services to the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center. Supports the facility QAPI efforts by attending all assigned QAPI training; follows established policies and procedures in support of QAPI efforts; participates in PIP teams as assigned; shares ideas for improvement in the organization; and supports QAPI efforts both verbally and non-verbally, including adjusting performance and practice in accordance with QAPI initiatives and findings. Performs work in accordance with the DMVA general safety rules and safety rules for this position. Immediately reports all workplace injuries or incidents to the supervisor; and/or immediately corrects any safety hazards in the work area or reports same to supervisor. Performs other related duties as required. Uses personal protective equipment when required such as gloves, masks, face shield, etc. |
