Position Purpose:

Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

Serves as receptionist. Answers and directs phone calls; receives visitors and directs them as required; maintains the visitors’ log and assists in locating information when requested; monitors offenders in the waiting room and notifies parole agents/supervisor of any unusual activities; processes, and distributes incoming mail; maintains a log of all incoming files; alerts parole agents/supervisor of any emergency situation by setting off the panic device, reports any problems with electric security door switches, metal detector, lighting, etc.

Responds to written and/or verbal inquiries by creating/printing/distributing reports or providing other information as requested.

Types correspondence/reports/forms for the supervisor and parole agents.

Inputs/updates/modifies information on new or existing parole cases via various computer systems to ensure up-to-date information is available at all times.

Maintains files as per accreditation standards.

Schedules and attends required training each fiscal year.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Routine work is completed independently, with periodic review by the supervisor and/or Parole Agents as necessary. Changes in operational standards, procedures, and work policies are discussed in detail with the supervisor.
