Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

This position is within the Bureau of Information and Communication Services (BCIS) and is responsible for the development and maintenance of databases, identifying network hardware associated with the Body Worn Cameras (BWC), Mobile Video Records(MVR), Interview Room Recorders (IRR), Mobile Data Terminals (MDT), routers, and other associated customer support for the system and staff work within the Fleet Technology Integration Section. This position will also include the receiving, shipping and inventory control of materials stored at the work location.

Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

Must be available outside of scheduled working hours for deployment of PSP Mobile Command Posts, Fixed Command Posts and Joint Operations Centers which may necessitate shift changes and extended working hours as needed to ensure operational needs and priorities are met.

10% Provides technical support and guidance to help desk personnel and the end users on problems encountered with the BWC, MVR, MDT, IRR and network related services. Receives official telephone messages or calls of problems from field personnel; identifies nature of the problem, explains the appropriate course of action and/or contacts the appropriate service provider to resolve the problem or implement the repair.

10% Receives and responds to various questions and inquiries from the Troop Communications Specialist (TCS )/Information Technology Technicians (ITT) and others dealt with by this section. Serves as the liaison/contact person between TCS and the Division regarding request for services of equipment, assistance in unique situations, etc. Assists with coordinating all aspects of the BWC, MVR, MDT, IRR, routers, vehicle related technology, including scheduling, materials, preparation and logistics.

10% Provides BWC, MVR, MDT, IRR, and other related training to include preparation of training sheets, equipment sheets, and assures these training sheets are kept up to date with applicable changes, etc.

10% Utilizes Axon management application to change aliases , query serial numbers, assist with video management, equipment management, and other available information regarding BWCs, MVRs, IRRs.

10% Utilizes the Asset Works M5 Fleet Management System for the tracking of electronic equipment serial numbers, such as mobile office equipment, mobile video recorders, mounted radars, and other associated fleet technology equipment.

10% Inventories new vehicle fleet technology equipment. Utilizes established formula for calculating equipment allocation and inventories same to be provided to Troops/Stations/Bureaus. Assists in assembling new BWCs, MVRs, MDTs, with includes antennas, cabling, docks, vehicle mounts, body worn mounts, cameras, microphones, charging cables, other associated equipment.

10% Utilizes Service Now Application daily to monitor PSP Help Desk Tickets assigned to the Bureau of Communications and Information Services and ensures tickets are acted upon in a timely manner.

5% Receives and reviews Fleet Changeover Schedule for accuracy of equipment in vehicles. Corrects and updates missing or incorrect information for equipment in the vehicle that are being installed or moved from Troop/Station to a different Troop/Station. This is to assure equipment is correctly assigned and inventoried.

5% Organizes and prepares BWCs, accessories, and disbursement schedule to participate in special details where BWCs or additional equipment is needed.

5% Diagnoses BWC, MVR, MDT, IRR and software failures and recommends minor repairs and adjustments or refers to the appropriate service personnel for resolution. Provides user support services and technical advice to users. Provides resources and is able to provide technical information upon request.

5% Evaluates requests for BWC, MVR, MDT, and other associated equipment for field personnel. Prepares and tracks Agency Requisitions (A.R.’s) for related equipment including but not limited to: fleet change over, BWC return merchandise authorizations (RMA), BWC refresh, reimaging of MDT, and other task related to maintaining associated equipment. Utilizes the SAP program to process completed invoices.

5% Assists with vehicle maintenance and upkeep. Collects and completes monthly vehicle mileage reports. Receives, inventories and stocks materials stored at the work location.

5% Performs related duties as necessary.

General guidelines and proposed objectives are given by the immediate supervisor. It is the responsibility of the incumbent to further expand and develop the proposed objectives and provide them back to the immediate supervisor. Work is reviewed by the immediate supervisor to see that the initial objectives have been reached and any problem areas that do exist are analyzed and corrected as efficiently as possible.

The incumbent in this position is authorized to make technical and administrative decisions for tasks assigned, consistent with Division, Department and Commonwealth Policies. The incumbent will check with superiors prior to making any decisions that may affect business policy and budgets.
