This position serves as a centralized timekeeper processing time and payroll actions for multiple bargaining units, with a focus on H1, at a SCI Laurel Highlands. May perform remote work for other SCIs at times. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. • Independently completes all timekeeping duties for H1 and non-H1 staff. • Duties include inputting leave requests, overtime, exchanges, schedule substitutions. walk time and process pay discrepancies. • Reviews post audits and makes necessary corrections, alerts time advisor to changes resulting in overpayments. • Maintains knowledge of the H-1 and non H1 Collective Bargaining Agreement and applies article(s)/section(s) consistently and appropriately. • Applies information contained on shift rosters, overtime reports, etc. in the processing of payroll. • Independently communicates directly with staff verbally and in writing to resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner. • Works with the Time Advisor and Supervisor if further review of payroll issues exists. • Reviews error reports and timekeeping audits; adjusts records accordingly. • Uses discretion and judgment in the retention and dissemination of confidential or pertinent information. • Questions concerning retention and dissemination of information are referred to the Time Advisor. • Routinely makes independent decisions concerning timekeeping/payroll processes and procedure; to include the appropriateness of the information to be processed and the actions taken. • Work is performed with considerable independence and little review, however, changes in operational standards, procedures, and work policies are discussed with supervisor prior to implementation. • New or unusual situations are referred to supervisor for direction and approval of actions. • Understands and follows detailed, straightforward, oral and written instructions. • Responsible for the proper filing of all correspondence(s), report(s) and related paperwork. • Works with minimum supervision in performing assigned duties. • Photocopies, collates and assembles documents for review and or distribution; operates standard office equipment; follows standard office procedures. • Performs other duties as assigned. All other duties as assigned including but not limited to: Takes meeting minutes; prepares grievance packets; sends and organizes emails; reviews documents and correspondence for grammar, numerical, and spelling errors. Submits all documents, reports, correspondence, etc. in a timely manner. Records and distributes messages. Responds to general inquiries, and reviews files to respond to basic information requests. Maintains accurate filing systems and end of year archiving in accordance with retention of records. Updates and maintains databases, reports, spreadsheets, and queries.
