Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. Responsible and accountable for receipt, storage, & distribution for a variety of store items and non-store purchases. Duties include record keeping, posting, issues, requisitions for stock replenishment and all physical activities associated with receipt, storage, and distribution. The employee carries out these duties under the supervision of the Storekeeper I. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Receives, examines, and records the receipt of goods through an automated system. Inspects quality and quantity of goods to ensure conformance with specifications, accepts or rejects goods as appropriate noting any unusual occurrences such as partial shipments or damaged goods. Arranges for MSDS information as appropriate. Inventory and store materials and goods in appropriate areas. This includes items in the Main and Central Medical storeroom. Rotates stock upon receipt to avoid obsolete/outdated stock and track expiration dates. Stores all materials in a safe manner to avoid damage to personnel and property. Using appropriate equipment, such as a mechanized lift, to transports goods, from the receiving area to the storage area. This may involve lifting materials of up to 60 pounds. Pulls, packs, sorts, and prepares for distribution of items that have been requisitioned from inventory with no more than 3 errors in a rating period. Items may be heavy or awkward and may require lifting 60 pounds. Receive Non-Inventory Delivery orders. Check for damage, accept and/or reject order. Locate paperwork which may be either an SAP order or a VISA Requisition. Verify completeness of order, quantity, and quality of goods. Verify MSDS is enclosed if applicable. Notify requisitioner or decide for delivery if required. Prepare item for distribution. Safely use mechanical storeroom equipment to move materials. Perform on site inventory reviews in work areas. Perform clerical duties such, copying, filing, and collating as required to maintain orderly flow of work and carryout assigned duties. Prepares outgoing shipments and maintain all storeroom equipment. Prepares and submits reports as directed by Storekeeper I or Financial Manager. Keep work area clean and organized. Other duties as assigned. Obtains and maintain crisis intervention and CPR Certification. Utilize skills as necessary. |
