Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Property maintenance of public fishing and boating facilities owned or controlled by the Fish and Boat Commission in Maintenance Area I, a multi-county region in northwestern Pennsylvania. Assist in other improvement and construction projects. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Operation of off-road equipment and light duty trucks and trailers in material and equipment hauling. Servicing of machinery - including lubrication, oil change-type of servicing, tires, etc. Operation riding mowers, tractors, weedeaters, and power equipment used to maintain facilities. Mow areas, police areas and dispose of trash, cut brush and trees. Clean sewers and ditches. Grade roads and parking areas, repair and crackseal asphalt pavement. Erect signs and bulletin boards. Route, sand, treat, and paint existing wooden signs. Build, install and maintain docks and mooring facilities. Paint buildings, offices, workshops and equipment. Perform various aspects of carpentry and plumbing. Build forms, pour and finish concrete. Mix cement for blocks. Form and install rebar. Remove stop logs from control towers. Perform maintenance on buildings and grounds. Act as helper to skilled trades workers. Knowledge of the tools and methods used in building and public work maintenance and construction. Operate simple machines, motors, and tools. Perform related duties as necessary. |
