Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

This position is assigned to the Bureau of Policy and Quality Management, Division of Training and Communications. The incumbent has responsibility for supporting ODP’s statewide training initiatives, communications and stakeholder engagement.


Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

Assists in planning, organizing, and evaluating communications and outreach for the statewide ID and Autism service systems.

Develop and write regulations and regulatory guidance, statements of policy, bulletins, and other policy documents pertinent to Human Servies programs

Reviews existing and proposed state and federal policy, regulations and law changes for training implications for ODP’s programs.

Lead role in management and maintenance of ODP’s stakeholder listservs including membership management.

Lead role in archiving and tracking all ODP communications and trainings, to include creation of content for and tracking of content for MyODP News Online.

Lead role in managing and responding to Division resource accounts.

Works collaboratively to implement communication strategies to broaden the impact of ODP’s programs and organizational messaging.

Supports in the development, distribution archiving and maintenance of all print and electronic communication documents disseminated by ODP.

Provides logistical support for ODP internal workgroups led by Bureau of Policy and Quality Management.

Maintains a comprehensive list of venues and venue features and works with ODP staff and contractors in the identification of appropriate training venues.

Lead role in reviewing and formatting ODP communications and publications including comprehensive grammar, spelling and style checks.

Supports the formatting, preparation, and refinement of video content used in communications, training, and promotional initiatives. Including accessibility content such as closed captioning.

Lead role in the entry, maintenance and verification of program office meeting schedules on the Outreach calendar. Coordinates with administrative staff and Training Coordinator to ensure all meeting information is accurate and up to date.

Performs other related duties as required.

Responds to questions regarding the ODP training and communications.

Clarifies policies and procedures for training requirements, access to training provided by or funded through ODP.


Makes recommendations to the Division Director regarding critical issues requiring tracking, analyzes causes and provides recommendations for corrective actions.
