This position is responsible for providing personnel support, training, and operational research to the Bureau of Business Taxpayer Accounting (BBTA), Bureau of Business Tax Return Processing (BBTRP), Bureau of Registration and Taxpayer Management (BRTM), and Bureau of Taxation Support (BOTS). |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. *Maintains the final versions of the BOTS Performance Standards and sends reminders out for annual review and signatures. *Assists in coordinating the Annual Taxation Meeting per AO3 direction. Runs and creates weekly PATH reports for Taxation upper management, for systems and revenue analysis. Runs SAP reporting for analysis. Liaison between HR and the Business Bureaus: BBTA, BBTRP, BRTM, and BOTS. Prepares reports/flow charts documenting systemic processes and procedures. Creates internal process improvements for Business Taxation. Creates and maintain VISIO licensed charts for management. Submits the annual cigarette stamp and IFTA decal orders on behalf of the department. Serves as lead Personnel Coordinator for the Business Tax Bureaus, (BBTA), (BBTRP), (BRTM), and (BOTS). Coordinates job postings, interviews and onboarding, in addition to managing/maintaining EPR due dates for both annual and probationary reviews, position description updates and upholding HR standards/practices with hiring. Develops training procedures, objectives, schedules, and materials for new training programs as needed. Conducts business bureau training and provides further direction in utilizing business tax systems functions. Assesses current training needs and makes recommendations for revised or additional training. Functions as the time and attendance administrator for the Bureau of Taxation Support, which includes accurately recording and monitoring time and attendance activities for all staff, input of overtime and other pay processing. Coordinates Personnel Action Requests, including post and fill vacancies, appointments, resignations, retirements, promotions, transfers, out-of-class pay assignments, etc. In conjunction with the HR Delivery Center determines appropriate direction and guidance to give employees regarding leave, payroll, employee benefits and other related transactions. Develops and maintains the Taxation Microsoft Access Databases and Excel Spreadsheets for management staff. Maintains computer security list of authorized employees , adding new or delete former employees and change access for employees when needed. Prepares memos and necessary forms to initiate these changes. Prepares and presents reports including PowerPoint presentations, on activities performed in support of the business tax bureaus. Submits supply orders to procurement for all furniture, office equipment and special requests through SRM for all purchases relating to the Bureau of Taxation Support. Submits and assists employees with Travel Request Submissions via DOR 279 and COSTA Forms. Manages and schedules Photo ID renewals. Updates parking maps and information guides for the department. Prepares work orders for management signature to have items surpluses, moved, etc. within the Bureau of Taxation Support. Prepares correspondence for signature by management staff. Serves as the backup to the Management Technician who performs the Personnel Duties including: Acts as liaison with the Office of Administration and Bureau of Information Systems on system security access and equipment problems.
