This position provides clerical support to the park office and the pool ticket booth when it is operational for Caledonia State Park. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Performs clerical work which requires basic computer word processing skills and the processing of a variety of documents. Work includes the verification of information and performing calculations. Work involves the skilled typing of correspondence, reports, transactions, and similar documents. Answers questions and provides the public with information regarding park facilities. Answers questions concerning park rules and regulations or refers questions to park manager or ranger for additional information. Provides information to visitors regarding local attractions and events. Keep the displays of brochures, park information and price lists stocked. Issues parking permits for disabled patrons as necessary. Enters information into the Lost and Found Property Report and Log. Tags found items and contacts individual if personal information is available. Work involves helping the Park Manager and Administrative Assistant at the park. Operates the park base station radio system to communicate with park staff, volunteers, and County Control when necessary. Assists in answering incoming emails from the public in a timely manner. Completes various reports as necessary utilizing computer. Complete knowledge of the Park Reservation and Revenue system. Performs cancellations, extended stays and transfers in the Park Reservation system and informs Park Staff of changes daily. Answers the telephone and provides information as needed or directs inquiries to the appropriate person/office. Works in the pool ticket booth and handles cash payments and sometimes large amounts of cash during the day. Performs a variety of related duties as required in order to accomplish an efficient and safe operation. |
