Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

Provides marketing and research assistance to the OIBD team and related companies and partners that are engaged or prospects for international business in Pennsylvania.

Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

• Works with Pennsylvania companies, international contractors, Regional Export Network partners, grant independent advisory review panels, Commonwealth agencies and other organizations in promotion and all activities related to implementation of OIBD program and services.
• Drafts and publishes correspondence related to OIBD programs and services
• Receives, reviews, and audits reports of all international contractors and Regional Export Network partners as well as other Commonwealth agencies as appropriate, and, communicates results and analysis to the Director.
• Assists the Exec Director of Global Operations in event planning including budgets, marketing and related follow-up
• Prepares and maintains a calendar of international trade/investment/tourism/agriculture events, international contractor visits to Pennsylvania and international travel of OIBD staff.
• Assists in drafting, editing and uploading documents for publication on the OIBD webpage and interactive web-based initiatives.
• Utilizes information in LYNX, OIBD’s work order/data management system for marketing efforts, implementing approved export strategies, action plans, and opportunities for business growth in PA.
• Assists with OIBD grant programs which include marketing activities (eg, Global Access Program grants, Export 2000 grants, STEP and others as appropriate).
• Enters timely project status updates into the FDI lead tracking system, Executive Pulse, and assists in implementing approved foreign direct investment attraction strategies, action plans, research and development opportunities for business attraction to PA as assigned.
• Assists OIBD FDI staff in working with local economic development agencies, utilities, real estate representatives, developers and other PA partners to identify available sites and buildings based upon the foreign company spec requirements to encourage site visits to PA and provides specific, relevant information to enhance the company’s decision to locate in PA.
• Attends various economic development and internationally related networking events and conferences to establish, enhance and/or maintain working relationships with local and regional partners across the regions and industries of PA to ensure efficient and receptive communication for effective project management.
• Researches and identifies opportunities for PA companies to link with international business opportunities in joint venture business partnership interests from foreign markets.
• Applies international and cultural skills to daily project assignments.
• Reviews and analyses industries for PA/global growth and potential.
• Presents research information to OIBD and company clients as assigned.
• Participates in team meetings to provide project updates.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

• Determines the content of communications to promote OIBD to the public.
• In cooperation with DCED IT department and OIBD Directors, determines the content necessary for the DCED OIBD website
