Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. This position is a member of the data visualization team. This position creates and provides ongoing support for database structures, reports, dashboards, and other data products using tools such as Microsoft Azure, Copilot, PowerBI, SQL Server Integration Services, and SQL Analysis Services. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Plans, develops, designs, analyzes, implements, and maintains relational databases to support the data needs of the EBR client agencies. Develops and provides ongoing support for reports, dashboards, and other data products. Participates in discussions related to special projects and modernization efforts; assisting in cultivating requirements and solutioning using available resources. Consults in planning activities related to the overall usage and design of data products. Provides professional advice and opinions to the team lead regarding improvements in the technology, the delivery of solutions, and the management of tools to provide insights into data. Recommends, develops, and enforces standards related to the use of data. This position is responsible for managed access to reports and visualizations when required. Helps define and implement new or revised views of the data, as needed, to satisfy new system requirements or for end user requirements. Designs database structures consistent with application, operational and networked implementation requirements. Enforces standards on format, size, and accessibility for deliverable data products. Recommends, develops, administers, and enforces procedures and controls necessary to ensure security and integrity for all deliverable data products. Identifies technical problems and develops and implements solutions, Participates in a user group consisting of both program area and IT users to facilitate exchange of ideas and promote success. Develops training materials for end users. Complies with all bureau and departmental security policies and guidelines. Be knowledgeable of, adhere to, and contribute to established service management processes and procedures; knowledge management processes and procedures; and digital accessibility regulations and standards. Performs other related duties as required. |
