This position is one of routine manual labor in the housekeeping care of buildings, equipment,and furniture. The employee performs a variety of tasks in connection with cleaning functions. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Job Knowledge/Skills: Duties within the department are to clean all restrooms, shower rooms, patient dorms, day wards, hallways, offices, activity areas, gym, swimming pool, lobby, dining room, steps, etc. These duties are for all patient occupied buildings and all other buildings on grounds. Walls, windows, screens, lights, curtains, blinds, strip and wax floors or maintain floors of all types are to be done annually as needed. Ceilings are to be cleaned annually and ceiling vents as needed. Climbing ladders, lifting and operating and cleaning of all housekeeping equipment is required. Outside areas such as gazebos and entry ways are to be swept and free of garbage, outside garbage cans to be emptied. Documentation of daily duties is to be completed daily. Linen duties are performed of unpacking and distributing linens to areas. To perform work duties in all buildings. |
